words and pics about living and raising a child in Venice
Steven, I. Love the picture. A few years ago I was in a quiet boat at that or similar site(Laguna south of Giudecca?). I visited the rest of the Venice lagoon and realized it was my place on Earth.https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZZREc8HeoS6suzT8A
Thanks, John, I really liked the image you linked to. I guess there are structures like this in the south lagoon, too, but this one was actually north of Torcello. I have yet to venture very far south in the lagoon, but look forward to doing so. And, yes, indeed, the lagoon is a very unique place, and an interesting combination of nature and human interventions (though not always for the best, alas).
Silence and peace. All what we need. Wonderful
And not easy to find in Venice--not even in the north lagoon, as there are now tourist boats that ply the waters there, too.
Such a dreamy photo, Steven.
Of a dreamy place at that particular time on that particular day--like everywhere else in the lagoon, as you certainly know, Yvonne, the sense of it can change so dramatically!
