The Gold at the End of Rainbow

The rainbow ends, appropriately enough, in Ca' d'Oro, or the House of Gold: once so called because of the gold (and even more costly lapis lazuli) with which its facade was once adorned by its extravagantly wealthy owner. Of course, the gold on the facade was lost to the elements long long ago--but apparently not to the long memory of this rainbow. (15 May 2017)
