At least Sydney is modern with a bit more space to it than Venice, and probably without the cultural ideas that Italians--or at least most Venetians--still have about what is appropriate clothing to go about the city in!
I hope the tide was freshly in when they all fell into the water, Ella--I certainly wouldn't want to find myself in the canals when it was out. Actually, I wouldn't want to swim in the canals at all. They say ignorance is bliss, but it won't protect you against infections.
Looks great here in Sydney; looks very strange in Venice! Actually, looks a bit strange here in Sydney too....

DeleteIn Venice I once saw three in a row ... the first wobbled and capsized, .... then the second .... then the third .....how nice that was to see!
