It does look very much as if the cafe staff simply had nothing more demanding to do ... but quite an historic image, I think, any way.
ReplyDeleteSo good that you are out and about to capture all this unusual inactivity, and uncrowded city. At least that's one good thing about the situation that must be causing a great deal of hardship to mny businesses and employees.
Alas, Ella, not out and about the last 3 days, but home in bed; today with a fever but no respiration troubles. Probably the flu, but we are watching it carefully, and it's an unfortunate time to have a fever, period. Take care of you and yours and your neighbors!
DeleteI saw on Twitter that the group photo was in aid of a promotion for the month of March: all the bars on the Piazza offer a buy one aperitif, get the second one free, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you very much for that information, Joann! It's the kind of thing people should know about.
DeleteOh, poor you, do take care of yourself and your family, too. It's sad that a 'flu can make one worry so much, at present, isn't it? I do hope that you are soon feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ella, fever went away by this morning, but stayed in bed--except for when my wife and son offered to pick me up in our boat for a brief outing late this afternoon (hence the post today)--then back to bed.
