I've been out of Venice for almost this entire month, hence the few blog posts (the least for any month since I started blogging 8 years ago). Over the next three days I'll put up a series of shots taken in the morning last month: in that marvelous time just before the crowds descend upon the city--the time when any visitor to Venice should make a point of being out and about the city.
So true, it's the most wonderful time. It can also be very pleasant very late at night / in the early hours of the morning. It's about the only city I feel safe alone really late at night in, - and I'm not really a nervous type, when I was young I crossed London and other major cities late at night on foot with no fear, but it's different now. I'm waiting eagerly for your pictures to remind me.....
