We go out in our boat as often as possible, Yvonne, at least 2 or 3 times per week. We don't use it to take the scholar to and from school, but did pick him up with it on Friday, and will do so again.
Much of the water in the above pics was hardly deeper than 2 feet. The tide was out, I was rowing among this grouping of islands, and tried to go down a side channel only to find after a time that it was too shallow, really--about 6 inches--and we had to turn around. But that's part of the fun of it all, those changing tidescapes.
What a perfect contrast this provides to the circus reported in your previous post!
ReplyDeleteAre you getting about in your boat a lot? Do you pick up and deliver Sandro the scholar with it?

You are in love with the lagoon, it cast its spell on you, I can tell.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
How can anyone resist it, Laura? Each opportunity to spend time in it seems likes a gift.
DeleteBeautiful pictures. I love these shallow water areas. What island is it?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jon. The area is L'isola dei laghi.
