I seem to recall we were in a fairly rare long stretch of unbroken gray days, Kent, and I think this was actually desperation--but I doubt it worked very, as on days like this you could put dry laundry out and in a couple of hours it would be dripping water from the surrounding atmosphere.
I read backwards in your blog this morning, to find out that you've left Venice and are currently in Toronto. This blog helped us have a wonderful experience the four times we visited Venice, pulling bits off your blog, writing them down, and going to see them when there. Because of your blog, the last time we stayed we were far away from the central square, tucked away in a delightful small place, and we saw art we didn't know about before. All of this is to say, thank you for your blog. I am hoping you can just leave it in place, letting others mine from it as they will. Thank you, thank you, and enjoy your new life in Canada. -- Elizabeth, from California
Thank you very much for your very kind comment, Elizabeth, I'm really happy to hear that you found stuff on the blog that actually helped you enjoy Venice more--that's everything I could have hoped it might possibly do, but almost never actually believed it would!
Well I suppose it depends on how long the damp weather hangs around for?
