I'm really enjoying being in Venice again, at this time of year. Oddly enough, I like the "Christmas Balls" tree in the Piazetta. Watched them erect it the other evening, and then saw it up in all its ... glory?
It's a great time to be here, Ella. I don't know about the Christmas Balls, as I haven't seen them. I always liked the tree in the Piazzetta beside the two lions, so I'll have to see what this new display looks like.
This photo reminds me of what I love most about Venice: walking back in the evening after a concert or the restaurant, through dimly-lit calli, hearing just a couple of footfalls and *soprattutto* no traffic.
