You must stand with your back against the wall of the neighboring building across a narrow
calle to get this view (and have a wide angle lense), but it's a reminder that in spite of the good reasons for looking down in Venice--such as not stepping into a canal at the end of a dead end alley or into something left behind by one of the city's four-legged residents everywhere else--you may, like me, be frequently surprised by how much there is to see above your head in even the narrowest passages.
I won't identify this building in case anyone wants to guess.
