      You won't see fireworks, Rob, (unless you stay through New Year's Eve), but the quieter, less-crowded city seems a good trade-off.

    Do they use the silent fireworks which are becoming popular in Europe?

      I thought I'd read that they might use silent fireworks, I think even the mayor came out in favor of them, but they weren't silent this year. Maybe next year?
