Too bad I can get the smell of the "barena" by computer. Once in a while I get a sniff of the smell of "marsalato" around the Bay Area, and I then inhale deeply closing my eyes.
It's funny, Laura, that I'm sometimes happy to catch a whiff of seaweed and water here that reminds me of the Santa Cruz, CA area of my childhood. But it's not the same.
