I was not ready to take this photo; I was simply admiring the blue sky and the green building and the warm light when the four nuns appeared--there were 4, though only 3 are visible in the pic--and they made such a striking group that I fumbled to get my camera and take a pic, but didn't really succeed. Dressed in black as they were, walking as a group, and with the shades, they actually looked a bit like a musical group--a band.

12 years of catholic schools and nuns...
It's the hour when everyone else was simply out for a stroll, but I like to think they were off to band practice.
