Wheelbarrow & Madonna dell'Orto, This Morning
If a wheelbarrow is going to be flying through the air at the end of one of the many cranes in Venice, it seems strangely apt for it to be doing so near Madonna dell'Orto (or Madonna of the Garden).
I think it's always fortuitous or fortunate--as Bert would have it--for one to be anywhere in Venice at any time, as I suspect you'll agree (even if I'm barely making grammatical sense here).
And, how fortuitous that you happened to be in the neighbourhood at the right time!

DeleteAnd how fortunate! :-)
ReplyDeleteAm I taking pedantry to new heights? (along with the wheelbarrow)
Both pedantry and punning, I'm afraid... The latter of which I only narrowly resisted when making the post.
DeleteThanks for checking in, and for your comment. Venice is full of surprising and apt juxtapositions.
ReplyDeleteThere's feed to carry down the aisle and distribute to each horse, and hay to deliver to the stalls and paddocks.
ReplyDeleteWell, they do call them choir stalls, don't they?
